about

This behemoth represents a selection from my first few years of making music for theater and film. I have worked within the parameters of my abilities, performing and recording most everything myself, learning by doing.

Some of the pieces here are ideas only partially brought to life. But as I've shared them with directors I've learned that rough hewn first-thoughts can spur a conversation, and are, sometimes, just what a story needs.

The overwhelming majority of these songs, whether used in the end or not, came as a response to material generated by collaborators who, in giving me the chance to help tell their stories, have provided me with my composer's education thus far. I'm deeply grateful to all of them.
